Hey curvy girls all over the world,
ESPN magazine is at it again with their body issue. Last year for their 2014 body issue they featured 6 nude prominent athletes and one of them was Texas Ranger player Prince Fielder who represented for big men everywhere (read here). Well, for this year’s body issue, ESPN decided to continue showing love to athletes who don’t necessarily fit into the athletic stereotype when it comes to shape and size. For the August 2015 issue, they featured 6 new athletes and one of them happens to be the ever so voluptuous Amanda Bingson who is the record holder for the Hammer Throw. Standing at 5 foot 6 inches and 210 pounds, Amanda Bingson posing nude for the cover of ESPN Magazine is proving that athletes come in all shapes and sizes.
I have to keep it real and say that I have never heard of Amanda Bingson but I am already inspired. She sends a message to America that shows you can’t judge a book by its cover. She is a competitive athlete who works out, and is one of the best at what she does.
In her magazine interview, she says, “I have a very strong core. For training, we do a lot of twisting motions because that’s what our event mainly is, twisting. But I don’t have a six-pack, I don’t have traps bulging out my ears. Dense would be the right word.”
The other 5 athletes are Odell Beckham Jr., Natalie Coughlin, Kevin Love, Chante McMillan, and Bryce Harper.
What do you guys think about Amanda Bingson on the cover of ESPN?
