Jordyn Woods looked gorgeous when she attended Harper’s BAZAAR “ICONS By Carine Roitfeld” at The Plaza Hotel during New York Fashion Week. She stepped out in an elegantly sexy Velvet Stretch Aurora dress by Stello. Her vixen-esque look was pulled together with a reddish-cranberry makeup look that was beautiful!
Her makeup was done by @Japanesefaces. The simplicity of her dress and hair gave way for her eye makeup to stand out. She is so ready for fall with these tones.
How To Recreate Jordyn’s look
To recreate Jordyn’s look, we have come up with a list of products you can use; both higher end and drugstore cosmetics.
Jordyn rocked a soft matte finish topped off with bronzer for definition, a barely-there-blush, and very minimal highlight. Here are the products you can use to get the look!
Foundation: Soft Matte Finish
Setting Powder: Natural
If you have normal or even dry skin, you may not want to set the foundation to avoid looking cakey. If you have oily skin and prefer to set your makeup to give it longevity, use a powder that does not alter the finish of your soft matte look. Jordyn had a matte look but she her skin didn’t look dehydrated. Look for a powder that says it has a ‘radiant matte’ finish.
Jordyn was more bronzed than highlighted. Avoid bronzers with shimmers
She had a very minimal-barely- there blush. The tone was a rusty orange peach shade. Again, it was matte.
Though this creme blush has a radiant finish, it is the right color. To reduce the shine, you can set it with a translucent powder or the powder you use to set your face.
Jordyn had a concealer highlighted look under her eyes, center of her forehead, and her chin. The only place you can see a light reflecting highlight is on the tip of her nose. It doesn’t have much color except maybe a champagne gold tone. Still, it wasn’t that ‘glow to the gawds’ look. Use a very light hand.
Jordyn brought Autumn to Harper’s Bazaar ICONS event with her reddish smokey eye. The key to her look is to keep the shape of the shadow round and slightly higher in the inner corner. There was very little drama on the outer corner other than lashes.
Smudge your eye base very close to the lash line and blend it only halfway up to lid to keep the color in control.
Lightly dust on the red or burgundy eye shadow and blend towards your crease and up towards your inner socket. You can then add a darker red toward the lash line for definition. Smudge some black eyeshadow or deep purple for a softer look on lash line. Same steps for your lower lash line, just much softer. Finish with black eyeliner and mascara on your upper and lower waterline. Remember to keep everything soft.
Skip the highlight on your cheekbones and save the glow for your eyes. Jordyn slayed a glossy look on the inner corner of her eyes. With this look, less is more so you don’t end up with goop in your eyes.
Jordyn’s lashes were very careful to not overpower her look. Her lashes were wispy with som extra drama towards the outer corner bringing balance to look since there wasn’t much shadow there to begin with.
Choose your favorite nude lipstick and top it off with a gloss. Jordyn nude lip leaned peachy but you can choose one that flatters your skin tone.
