STYLE JOURNEY: BOHEMIAN CHIC IN A PLUS SIZE KIMONO

Hey curvy girls all over the world,

Spring has always been my favorite season. As the weather starts to warm up all I can think about is casual Sunday afternoon strolls in my Bay ridge neighborhood while enjoying a banana nut crunch ice cream from Cold Stone with my son. When it comes to dressing for spring weather, this year, I want to embrace my sultry and sexy side. I’ve secretly been a fan of the boho chic look ever since Rachel Zoe blew up as a stylist.

Remember back in the day when she was dressing Nicole Richie? I loved the way she would make a maxi dress look so dashing and sophisticated. She would layer kimono’s over pants and dresses and make it look effortless.

Well, this weekend, I decided to take a page out of the Rachel Zoe style book and create a spring boho chic look that exemplified sultriness and a hint of sexiness. The simplicity and delicateness of this Forever 21 plus kimono top made for the perfect piece to have Sunday dinner in.

I chose a basic body con t-shirt dress as the backdrop and went with a pair of sexy strappy sandals.

A bold red lip and gold oversized statement necklace is all I needed to complete my boho chic look
