It’s beginning to feel a lot like fall and I’ve been transitioning my wardrobe to accommodate the cooler weather. When it comes to transitional pieces a shirtdress is a must have for me. It’s easy to layer.
In NYC we have been experiencing a lot of warm days and then boom for 4 days straight we had Cloudy, rainy, chilly weather. Back in the day I used to scramble to find appropriate clothing but no more. I was ready for that rainy cool weather with two simple pieces. A moto jacket and a shirtdress.
Eloquii Jacket, Eloquii Dress, Tory Burch Tote, Nine West Sandals
In early summer, I scooped up this striped belted shirtdress from Eloquii. It was in the back of my closet and I have been wanting to wear it. I decided to take it for a spin by pairing it with a black moto jacket also from Eloquii.
I accessorized with simple accessories such as a pair of gold hoop earrings.
I love how structured and lightweight the dress is. It’s perfect for layering a jacket or sweater over. The dress on its own has a work feel but the leather jacket gave it a casual look.
I carried my fave Tory Burch tote bag and zipped up a pair of strap or sandals to give the look a little more edge.
