Holiday Party Season is upon us. Now is the time to start thinking about your holiday party outfits. Before you know it, invites will be rolling in and your calendar will be full. It’s better to start planning out what you’re going to wear now rather than later. My mamma always said, if you stay ready you will never have to get ready. I try to use this ideology with every aspect of my life. Even with what I’m going to wear.
November and December my social calendar is full. Filled with Thanksgiving invites and Christmas parties. This time of the year is the best because you can really show up and show out with your wardrobe. Holiday party season is all about sequins, metallic’s, and velvet. The kind of clothes that a superstar would wear. I’ve been making my own list of holiday party outfits. I’ve been saving looks to Pinterest too. In my search, I’ve found quite a few showstopping pieces.

Just take a look at this velvet goodness.
Velvet Pleated Jumpsuit, Nude Heels, Sequin Box Clutch
I found this belted velvet pleated plus size jumpsuit from Eloquii. They always bring their A-game with their holiday collections. This jumpsuit is the perfect holiday party outfit for a cocktail party or holiday dinner. The fit on this is AMAZING. Most importantly, the color is so rich and highlights my chocolate skin. Don’t I look like a velvet raspberry chocolate streudel?
I love a good jumpsuit and find them to be a chic choice for anyone looking for holiday party outfits. Personally, jumpsuits are an easy piece to create a stylish look. All you need are some cute heels and an evening bag. I went with a sequin champagne colored boxed clutch.

When I got this jumpsuit, my first instinct was to style it with a pair of open toe sandals. However, as I was playing around with shoe options in my house, something in my mind said get your nude patent leather pumps. I paired them together and thought they gave a nice contrast to the color of the jumpsuit. When I wear this again, I am going to rock it with a pair of gold sequin or satin heels.
As far as the fit goes, here’s my thoughts and tips
-Get your true size in this jumpsuit. It has a little stretch.
-I sized up for a slightly looser fit around my hips and butt. I wanted the pants portion to lay nicely in that area and not tug.
-The wrap top part of the jumpsuit fit a little too big so I had to pin it closed. Which is why its best to get your true size. I can always take mine to the tailors for a better fit.
-I’m 5’7.5″ and the length of the jumpsuit hit me at the ankle with my 5 inch heels. Without heels it grazed the top of my foot hitting about an inch below the ankle.
