Spanish retailer, Mango has just launched their plus size line Violeta online and you can shop it right now.That is, only if you live in Italy, Spain, and Turkey. Yes, U.S. plus size fashionista’s will have to wait before we can get our hands on it. I am completely jealous.
Violeta offers chic dresses, trendy tops and jackets ranging in european sizes 40-52 which translates into sizes 8-22 in the US. They tapped curvy model Robin Lawley as the face of the Violeta campaign. This is a full fledge line that also offers accessories and shoes. After going through the looks, it seems as if Violeta is starting out safe by offering basic pieces like jeans, button down blouses, and casual tops. There are also splashes of trendy styles like biker jackets, tweed blazers, and printed pants.
I would like to see the direction they go in and I am hoping they make it to the US very soon. Their plan is to open up 100 stores by the end of this year. Let’s hope they offer the US the option to shop online by the end of the year. For now, I am just going to have to make some friends in Italy or take a trip.
