To all my plus size fashionista’s, get excited because we can now add another brand to our list of places to shop. This month you will be able to get your hands on Anthropologie plus size clothing. Its called Aplus. Yes ladies! If you like Urban Outfitters but wish they offered more chic and dressy casual clothing, then you will love Anthropologie.
I think there are a lot of straight sized brands that are finally starting to see the value in plus size fashion. Most importantly, the value in plus size women. I for one am happy about it and I hope we get to see at least 5 more brands come on over to the plus side.
For those of you that didn’t know, Anthropologie actually went up to a size 16. I remember in my corporate days I use to shop them in the flatiron district. Their clothes have always been cut true to size. Their aesthetic has always been feminine and whimsical. So, I’m personally excited for this launch.

What To Expect from Anthropologie plus size clothing collection
Secretly, I’ve always felt that there were straight sized brands who have always wanted to offer plus but they were scared. I also believe that its the power of the body positive and size inclusive movement. Both movements have made non plus size brands feel like its time for them to include plus size women.
I think a brand like Anthropologie whose been around since 1992 should’ve been doing plus. Nevertheless, thank goodness they’ve finally seen the light and now are going to offer it.
So, what would an Anthropologie plus size clothing line look like? According to the Anthropologie, here’s what we should expect from the Aplus collection, “Wardrobe heroes with all our quintessential charm and romance, now available in sizes 16W-26W. There are dresses to dance in, pants to romance in, and skirts to shine in-all designed with careful consideration and love by our in house team.”
In addition to adding a full blown plus size collection, Anthropologie has also extended their petite sizing.
