Hey curvy girls all over the world,
We are back with another installment of “At The Office With” A few weeks ago we headed down to lower Manhattan on Wall street to visit Cece of the wildly popular blog “The Big Girl Blog” and of the new fitness program PSPfit.
Just when you think that being a blogger and running a fitness program was enough, Cece works on the mean green street of Wall street as an assistant.
I caught up with the Plus Size Princess to chat about her office style, fashion do’s and dont’s, and her favorite places to shop.
Check out what Cece had to say:
SC: What is your day job?
I work as an assistant on Wall Street to pay bills while I pursue my other passions
SC: What are you wearing today?
Today I’m rocking a Lands End Sweater, a vintage black A-line skirt, a skinny belt and my favorite cognac boots
SC: What is your office dress code?
My office dress code is Business Casual, I’m one of the younger girls here so my style is a bit more trendy than the other women. Its always cute when co-workers ask me for Fashion advice!
SC: How would you describe your personal style?
My personal style is flirty, fun and girly… I love vintage inspired pieces and my California roots definitely shine through in the way that I like to be cute and comfortable.
SC: How do you incorporate your personal style with your office dress code?
I get a lot of simple separates for work and then amp them up with my accessories. I’m not afraid to wear vintage accessories to work (and since my coworkers are older they’ll often say “I used to have something like that when I was young!” so it becomes a conversation starter in the elevator.
SC: What are your top 5 places to shop at?
Ebay, SimplyBe, Macy’s, Torrid, Vintage Shops
SC: What are your professional do’s and don’ts for workwear?
Always sit down in your clothes to see how they’ll look/fit when you’re at your desk. I have dresses that show WAY too much cleavage when I’m sitting at my desk, but when I stand up nothing shows. Its annoying but, I save the sexy looks for date-night
SC: Since you’re a blogger, what is your go to piece for transitioning from desk to dinner?
Oddly enough, its a scarf. If I do want to wear something low cut to dinner, I’ll drape a scarf down the front of my dress during the day and then whip it off at night!
