Hey curvy girls all over the world,
Slowly but surely, I am starting to embrace fall. It’s still pretty warm here in NYC and I’m not mad at the weather at all. Personally, I wish the weather could stay in the 70’s all year round. It can be a challenge transitioning into a new season when the weather is wacky. That’s why jumpsuits are my wardrobe staple to help me make the transition (A post about transitional pieces will be here on Friday). Now, I have a love hate relationship with jumpsuits. I love them for all their chicness but they’re a mother sucker to deal with when you gotta pee. Although they can be a pain, I still put myself through the torcher because they are just so darn swanky. Case in point, my obsession with this printed Simply Be jumpsuit.
Simply Be Jumpsuit, Jimmy Choo Heels, Marc Jacobs Satchel
I don’t think there has been a year where I didn’t snag a new jumpsuit from from Simply Be. Whether its spring, summer, or fall, Simply Be always produces some fun and modern jumpsuits. Now, when I saw this multi colored printed style, I thought it was going to be too busy of a print for my taste. While I love a statement print. I never want it to overwhelm me.
I’ve had this jumpsuit for about a month and knew it would be the perfect style for some of my fashion week events. All I had to do was figure out how to style it without getting swallowed by the print. I find with busy prints, it’s always best to keep the look simple. Let the print do all the talking. So, I added a pink patent leather belt and purple suede heels to pick up some of the colors in the jumpsuit. Then, I added a purple leather satchel.
For makeup, I went with a bold berry lip from Too Faced and golden eyes, I also accessorized with gold hoops.
Below are a few other jumpsuits that I’ve had my eye on.
