Hey curvy girls,
Last week I wrote a post about fashion blogger Garance Dore implying that being plus size is unhealthy. Well, due to unfriendly feedback from readers, Garance is recanting her statements about plus size models.
According to Huffington Post Garance says this:
“I never said that plus-size models are unhealthy. That would be totally stupid of me. To me, they represent the diversity of women’s bodies, and what I said is that I will be happy to see them on a runway on a regular basis, just mixed [in with regular models] and not [walking] all together at the same time.
But I also think that if things like V Mag or the Mark Fast show contribute to making people more tolerant and the fashion industry more open to that, then it’s just great and a good sign for the future.
I, myself, am not a model at all, and I have always said that I like my curves. “
I dislike when people try to back track on their statements because it caused controversy. Now she loves her curves and never said that being plus size was unhealthy (Ok!). COME ON! Don’t renege now Garance, you meant what you said. I know you probably talked with some PR people and they told you how to clean up what you said.
Ok guys, I am over this. I just thought you might be interested in hearing how she recanted her statement.

She is such a phony! She is clearly just trying to save face, but what she really meant is & always will be rigt there in black & white. She can try to clean up her statement all she wants, but we all know how she really feels.
