Hey curvy girls all over the world,
I finally tried my hand at print mixing.Although I’ve always know the rules when it comes to mixing prints I’ve never really tried. Well, except one time when I teamed up my leopard print booties with a striped shirt. This time I wanted to go for the gust0 and create a look that abided by the print mixing rules that I shared with you 2 years go in an old post (here). For me, when it comes to print mixing you’ve got to coordinate (In my John Witherspoon voice from Boomerang). You should be mixing prints in the same color palette and size. Although there are exceptions to those rules, coordinating is the easiest and safest way to pull off a print mixing look.
I had these polka dot pants since the fall of 2012 and in the winter I saw this white cross shirt and immediately thought, hey, these go together. The size of the prints are proportionate and the colors are withing the same family. I added the leather cropped jacket to pull the look together. I went for gold jewelry to make the look pop a little more.
So what do you guys think? How did I do?

You did great! I tried to mix prints once and I’m still not sure if I really liked it but I love this the prints are small and not overwhelming.
