Hey curvy girls all over the world,
As promised, here is a recap of day two at fashion week. What happened to day one, you ask? Well, Nemo is what happened. So, we’re just going to skip day one.
Day 2 of fashion week for me felt like a full time job.We were still feeling the aftermath of Nemo so I kept things casual and cute in a Simply Be wool trench cape coat (get it here)
Anna Scholz leather pants, and underneath I wore the ombre oversized sweater (get it here) which was gifted from Simply Be. I completed the look with a tan leather tote also gifted from Simply Be (get it here)
I started my day at 9:30 am so I could make it to Lincoln center from Brooklyn to catch the Nina Skarra presentation.
I made it to Nina Skarra around 10:30 and the clothes were beautiful. Tailored and sophisticated. This white ensemble caught my eye. (Full review coming soon)
After the Nina Skarra presentation I had a little time to kill before heading to the next show. I stopped by the Maybelline counter to checkout their new spring collection .
I was totally digging the lipsticks. You know I had to cop me a fuschia lip
After getting my complimentary lipstick I ran into Tiney and Kelly from Masque Mag.
After chatting with them, I bumped into Mr. Robert Verdi himself. I love me some Robert Verdi and miss the show he and Bobby Thomas hosted on the Style Network. He was super nice and even gave eye contact while talking to me. Hey, some celebrities don’t do that.
Then I went to Starbucks for a little caramel double shot skim latte with one splenda
Finally it was time for me to go to my next show which was the JCPenney Doro Olowu collaboration (review coming soon). This collection is really rich in color and the prints are absolutely amazing. Unfortunately there is no plus sizes but you know that doesn’t stop us. They do carry Large and I believe XL.
After cruising the racks I sat for a complimentary manicure
Once I finished up at JC Penney I headed back to Lincoln Center to catch the Custo Barcelona show (review coming soon) and I was stopped by Julie Wilson from Huffington Post to talk about my cute and casual outfit.
After chatting with Julie, I spotted a couple of my blogger boo’s Ty from Gorgeous in Grey and CeCe from Love Brown Sugar.
It was a long day but I had a ball. Major shout out to my nephew who was my photographer for the day. I wanted him to experience fashion week and see what the other photographers did and he just fit right in. You can checkout his site
Again, thanks to Simply Be for sponsoring some of my fashion week pieces. You can checkout Simply Be for their new spring stylesat www.simplybe.com
