Hey Curvy Girls,
I just wanted to say thank you so much for all your support on this blog. You all have let me know when I have posted good content and when I have posted not so good content. When I first started this blog. I just wanted young women to know that you don’t have to be a size 2, 4, 6, or 8 to dress fashionably or to wear what slimmer girls are wearing. I want women to embrace their bodies. Growing up, I used to receive so much ridicule about my large hips and large butt. People would say oh, you shouldn’t wear this because your hips are too big or your butt is too big. I used to get so sick of it that it made me want to hide my body.
As I got older and started really looking at myself in the mirror, I started realizing that my body is beautiful. It is strong, it is healthy, and it is sexy. So, I started dressing my body the way I saw it, which is one of the reasons, I love pencil skirts. I have always had a love for magazines. My dream has always been to create a fashion magazine for young african american girls, I like to say the Black Seventeen. So, this blog is truly a place that allows me to share my love for fashion and my love for the curvy plus size woman. I don’t want any woman thinking she has to lose weight to dress the way she wants or to just simply live life. Don’t let your insecurites about your body hold you back from the life you want to live. I always say you can be feeling great about your body, but, there is always going to be other people that make you feel insecure about your body, DOn’t let them.
This week has been and will continue to be a busy week for me, so, I will be reposting some oldies, but goodies post in the meantime.
