This is the time of year most people revisit childhood memories and travel back home to be with their love ones for the holidays. Traveling home for the holidays can be tricky, meaning weather change, family functions, and random outings. When it comes to wardrobe you never know what you need. Here is you’re traveling guide for the holidays, that’s going to guarantee that you’ll be ready in style no matter the weather or random event.
We all know that last minute holiday panic that consists of what to pack for my trip. Always remember pack light, holiday traveling means that extra baggage is bond to travel back home with you. When it comes to packing light you want easy transitional items that you can easily get more than one wear out of, maybe even play around with looks that can go from day to night. You want to pay attention to what kind of functions you might attend and be ready for any random outings. But, in case you have a specific exclusive function to attend (red carpet style, with a fancy limo service from RPD Limo types), then you better have your best dress ready for that. Always stay prepared for any fancy event or dinner that you may have to go to.
The easiest item to dress up or down would be knit wear try a sweater dress, great for layering or just keeping it simple. Take note of the many different looks that you can get from one simple sweater dress.
Don’t forget the casual wear. Jeans can go a long way and can be worn up to 3 times before washing. Jeans are my favorite causal attire. Just add tee, sweater or blazer to create the perfect casual look. Also be sure to keep the shoes to a minimum when packing. A nice bootie and pump will work with just about anything.
Lastly you never want to forget your outerwear and accessories. Grab a simple coat/jacket that can go with any outfit. When it comes to jewelry pick the perfect statement necklace (maybe two). Grab a watch, pair of earrings ( I prefer studs easy to pair with outfits), maybe a ring , and a nice chunky bracket. Keep the accessories light you don’t want to weigh down your suitcase, and you don’t want to get overwhelm with trying to find the perfect accessory to complete your outfit. Hope this was a helpful guide to help you pack for your trip for the holidays. Don’t forget to utilize your ability to take your looks fromday to night.
