Hey curvy girls all over the world,
Last night I took a trip to H&M on 34th street because I didn’t have time to go on my lunch break. For those of you who follow me on twitter and Instagram, know that I do most of my shopping on my lunch breaks. I just feel I find the best pieces when I have a limited amount of time to shop. Fortunately, I had to save my lunch break shopping for after work and I’m glad I did. To my surprise, the H&M + section was filled with stylish goodies.
Normally, when I go to their plus section, I pick up maybe 3 pieces but last night there was so much cute stuff that I had at least 12 items in my hand. In the beginning I was hard on H&M+ because I felt they had ample time to produce a plus size collection that would either rival or have similarities to their main range. They are not new to designing for plus so I expected a little better. I know it takes time for collections to develop, but in their case I was very disappointed, well until last night.
Rather than show you all the pictures of what I tried on, I thought it would be best for you to see the new fall styles on plus size model Tara Lynn. So checkout some of the styles I tried on last night. Oh, and they had a banging pair of floral jeans (not shown).
You can follow me on Instagram @stylishcurves for my daily lunch break shopping trips and if you shop on your lunch break too, tweet me @stylishcurves pictures of what you’re trying on or buying. If you tweet or instagram me use the hashtag #lunchbreakshopping
Okay, enough talking, take a look and be sure to visit H&M+ website Here
Oh, here’s a pic of the floral jeans, I tried on. A little too tight and high watery but cute, no?

There is no H & M + in my immediate area. Do you find their clothes to be true to size or cut slightly smaller?

I’m actually taking a day trip to NYC solely to shop at the H&M that carries the plus size.
H&M definitely stepped their game up for the Fall season. The polka dot mesh dress is my favorite.

Just as an FYI, it is actually take two for H&M and their plus line…they retreated from it once before.
For some reason, stores are allergic to the idea of letting larger women openly shop in their stores and wear their clothes.
Let’s hope they don’t pull an Old Navy and decide that the 14+ women can only shop for their products Online.
That top is so cute. But apparently I can’t shop online for H&M in the USA…not used to that.

I called H&M customer service inquiring about a location in FL. and the rep told me the the online store is scheduled to open in September 2012. The sad part is that I’ve heard this before. Only time will tell.

Overall I’m disappointed with the cut and style of the plus size H&M options. While the picture of that black polka dot dress is great, the majority of the items are baggy, shapeless and unflattering.
I’m a big fan of print & color (as evidenced on my blog http://www.psitsfashion.com), but half their collection boarders on clownish, while the other half is dark and bland.
All I want is the normal H&M styles in MY SIZE!
