PLUS SIZE STYLE AT KOHLS

Hey curvy girls all over the world,

As much as i love my designer duds like Michael Kors, Donna Karan, and Calvin Klein, I do enjoy shopping at budget friendly stores. In my opinion if you take a little time you can really find some stylish quality pieces. This month I teamed up with Kohls to showcase some of the good plus size styles they offer. I will be the first to admit that I never really looked at Kohls as a good source for plus size fashion. However, seeing their designer collaborations with Narcisco Rodriguez, Catharine Malandrino, and of course Vera Wang, I decided to checkout what the bargain friendly store had to offer.

Kohls provided me with a giftcard to shop their plus size clothes and I am happy to say I found some really chic and fun pieces from Jennifer Lopez plus size selection, Dana Buchman, and Apt. 9.

Checkout the looks I came up with:

You guys know I love leopard print so when I saw this leopard print dress on the site from Jennifer Lopez’s line, I knew I had to get it. They never really promoted the plus size line from Jennifer Lopez but the line does offer some cute and trendy pieces up to a 3X. The dress gives a great fit. It has stretch in it so you could size down. I amped up my look with a draped leather jacket, classic gold hoops, and a gold fringe bib necklace. I threw on my red pumps to add some sass.

Another piece that caught my eye was this oversized open work wool blend cardigan. An oversized cardigan just seems so warm and cozy during the winter months. I added a pair of leather gloves from Apt. 9, a classic black turtleneck from Croft & Barrow, and leather pants to create a casual weekend look. I like to wear black and white with a pop of color so I wore my blue suede pumps to make the look a bit more interesting.

 

The final piece I liked was a colorblocked top from Dana Buchman plus. Now Dana Buchman has been at Kohls for years now. The brand offers great pieces to take you from desk to dinner. I wanted to have a little fun with top and make it casual because I would normally dress it up with a skirt. I opted for black leather pants, a silver plated necklace, and a black fedora. I threw on my wool and leather sleeved coat and blue suede shoes for a cool weekend look.
