Hey curvy girls all over the world,
Can you believe that overalls have made a comeback? Yes, overalls! I remember wearing them back in the 80’s as a kid and then in the 90’s as a teenager. The first pair I ever bought were a light wash pair from Old Navy. To see them make a return makes me happy for two reasons. One, thanks to ASOS they come in plus sizes and two I get to relive a part of my young adulthood. Overalls aren’t for everyone and you may get some looks if you dare to wear them but hey, who cares.
Back in the day I wore my overalls with sneakers and a t-shirt but now you can take a much more slick or chic approach to them. I like the idea of rocking a pair with heels or a structured collared shirt. I even love the leather version like the 3.1 Philip Lim pair (shown above). The only thing I am worried about when trying them is if my gut is going to be in the way. LOL! But, hey, isn’t that what Spanx are for?!
Now, I have to ask, will you be partaking in the overall trend?
If so, here are some fresh ideas on how to wear them plus get Rihanna’s look with ASOS Curve’s plus size denim overalls.
Shop the look:
Two non-plus size bloggers that I like have worn them in such a cool modern way
Man Repeller has always been a fan of overalls
Mira Duma’s leather overall look is nothing short of fabulousness
Oh and this pink one from 3.1 Philip Lim needs to be made in plus size. I love it!

I’m pretty sure they won’t work on my body, but if I like the look on Man Repeller, and if others want to rock it – feel free! I’ve learned that I look like a giant baby in a onesie in anything that is one piece – like overalls/rompers/jumpsuits, etc.
