Hey curvy girls all over the world,
Remember back in March, I told ya’ll that harem pants were making a comeback? While it is my duty to report to you the trends, I have to be honest and say, sometimes I don’t like some of the trends. Back in 2009 harem pants popped up on the scene after their 90’s debut. All I could think about when I saw them was MC Hammer doing the type writer to his hit song,”Let’s get it started.”
Whatever your size is, harem pants can be tricky to pull off. For me, I am always thinking about how my butt, gut, and hips will look in them.
Well, I decided to try a pair out for a test drive and I wound up liking them. I found a tribal print pair from Bongo plus at Sears. They didn’t have the major droopy effect that a lot of harem pants can have. They came with an elastic waistband and the length hit right at the ankle. Whenever, I test drive a trend, I have to take it slow. I keep it simple. With these Bongo plus pants, I decided to go with a black blouse from Beverly Drive at Sears.
I added a little flavor to the look with a pair of coral sandals from INC. and a coral bracelet and gold chain link necklace from Forever 21.
So, how did I do?

I love this look on you, Alissa! I have yet to find the perfect pair for me. I feel like I have too much booty and belly to pull this off…lol. I will keep searching though.
