Hey curvy girls all over the world,
I know alot of young working women who are afraid to wear bright colors to the office. I’ve had numerous debates as to whether or not you should wear top to bottom color. While I am aware that every office environment is different, I strongly feel that wearing color top to bottom at work not only makes you stand out but it makes you a tad bit more interesting. Just my thoughts. Now, I am not saying go to work looking like a clown or like you belong inside a box of crayons. I think when you wear top to bottom color it should always be sleek and well fitted. Believe me, fit is king when wearing bright colors.
Sometimes I can go overboard on colors and prints so I try to make sure the pieces are classic silhouettes and offer a sophisticated vibe. About a week ago when it was about 70 degrees, I decide to do a color blocked look with one of my favorite color combo’s, cobalt blue and yellow.
I took a yellow tweed moto blazer from Eloquii (old and sold out) and cobalt blue plus size pencil skirt from Forever 21 plus. I kept the look polished with a white tank top and a pair of black strappy sandals. Now a pair of pointed toe heels would have been more office appropriate but I can get away with strappy sandals at work.
I accessorized with a pearl and star necklace from Fashion to Figure (sold out), triangular earrings, a pair of round sunnies, and a Michael Kors watch. For a little added color, I popped on a fuchsia lipstick by Fergie forWet n Wild.
So, what do you guys think?

When I saw this post I had to read it! I love this colour combination and would definitely recommend going out of the comfort zone and trying it. I don’t wear yellow myself because I always think I will look like a banana, but after this post I think I will just have to risk it!!!!
