Hey curvy girls all over the world,
I have some exciting news. I was on Good Morning America this morning along with Sha from A Thick Girls Closet. See video below
We were invited to do a segment to talk about Zara’s recent comments about not doing plus size fashion. Their exact quote was:
“There’s also the delicate matter of sizing.
You guys know on this blog I wear everything from straight size to plus size and I believe in making things work for your body no matter where its from. I wanted to do the segment to shed light on how stores discriminate against us but we don’t discriminate against them. It’s your prerogative on where you want to shop but at some point you have to sit back and really take in how people really feel about making clothes for plus size women. We are not abnormal. There is nothing wrong with us wanting to be able to have more than a handful of stores cater to us. I also understand that sometimes plus size clothing is not the vision of certain retailers and designers. That’s fine to say that but to be disrespectful about it, is another.
I expect some people not to like the segment or feel as if we should stop complaining but I will never ever stop giving a voice to the plus woman especially when we are constantly being dismissed.
With that being said, please check out the Good Morning America video:

I think your comments on this segment were right on the money and really really thank you for standing up and being heard for all us plus size ladies out there. I think I wouldn’t shop at Zara if they paid me now.

Woohoo – you go girl!!!

Completely loved the segment!! You ladies did a WONDERFUL job. Unfortunately, if Zara continues to be content with the profit that they’re making from the plus size shopper on shoes and bags, I don’t think they would see a need to change.

Kudos to you for going out there and being a voice for us plus size women. Its sad in 2012 the measure of woman is still reduced to her waistline.

Double-needle seams mean this tee is soft but solid to the core.

I like to add Comfort Colors 6030CC, a smart choice for to avoid such issues.
