Hey curvy girls all over the world,
It’s officially winter and for me that means it’s time to find skincare products that are going to keep my dry skin moisturized. It’s funny how when it comes to buying makeup I have to make sure that everything is oil free because my face gets super oily. However, when it comes to my body, my skin gets so dry and ashy that it literally feels like crocodile skin. Rough. Every year, I am always on the hunt to find a body lotion that keeps my skin hydrated and healthy looking. You can just call me the body lotion collector. One of my current favorites is Vaseline’s cocoa butter lotion but this year, I will be swapping it out in favor of one of its family members Vaseline Intensive Care Advance Repair lotion.
A couple of weeks ago, I received the cutest pre-winter package from Vaseline which included their intensive advanced repair lotion, a dry skin tester, a customized mug with my blog name on it, and box of Godiva hot cocoa. It was like a winter survival kit. The package actually was a 5 day challenge kit from Vaseline where I had to try out the lotion for 5 days.
In the kit was two tester strips. One strip was to put on my skin in its current state. Dry and ashy.
I stuck one strip on my ridiculously dry and ashy elbow and when I took the strip off, all you could see was the dry residue.
I used the lotion for a few days, about 5 then, I stuck the second strip on after using the intensive care repair lotion for 5 days and the results were amazing. The strip on the left shows how dry and cracked my skin was while the strip on the right shows the vast improvement.
Let me just say that this lotion is the truth. It is so moisturizing without feeling greasy. It made my skin fell smooth and silky. A little bit goes a very long way. I didn’t’ need to reapply the lotion more than once and although its fragrance free it still had a subtle nice smell. Vaseline Intensive Care Lotions deeply moisturize to heal my dry skin. The great thing about the product is that the it contains healing micro-droplets of Vaseline Jelly to deeply moisturize to heal dry skin. No more crocodile skin for me.
Vaseline products are super affordable and probably the only drugstore product that has stood the test of time when it comes to moisturizing skin. It also doesn’t hurt that Vaseline Intensive Care is under $10 ranging between $2.99-$8.49. You can find out more about Vaseline Intensive Care Advanced Repair Lotion at Vaseline
