Can you guess what movie the phrase “What in blue blazers” is from ? The answer is at the end of the post.
Today was such a nice day. No coats, no boots, and no tights, just me, my blue blazer and pleated trousers. I was gifted this blue blazer from misses and plus size company Monroe and Main. I have been searching for a blue blazer for awhile and was glad to have found one. I’ve never shopped Monroe and Main before. I reviewed their site and there were some hits and some misses. Some pieces catered to the more mature woman or as Wendy would say, “Women of a certain age” and there were a few pieces that were on trend.
Friday’s post was about pleated trousers and I bought a pair myself from ASOS. As a very hippy person, I’m always self conscious about trousers and how they fit, which is why I normally size up and then get my pants tailored. I love how these trousers drape over my hips and thighs. The light pink color makes them versatile enough to wear with so many other things in my closet. They’re great for work and I would wear them with a sexy little top for going out at night. The pants have an elastic waist which I would normally scoff at,but there is a tie waist belt that covers the elastic so they were good to go.

That blazer is hot… I need a blue blazer… consider me sold!!
I love those pants on you how tall are you, as I like how well they drape. I am 5’7 with obscenely long legs (My inseam is about a 32″) so I am curious what you think the inseam of those pants are… You look fab as always…

Thanks ladies!
@Literal Gemini- I’m 5’8 and I was surprised as well how long the pants were. I am a 33 in inseam. Not sure what the exact inseam is.
I love those pants! I shop at asos curve often but have yet to buy any pants from them yet for fear of them not fitting.. you look about my size. I’m curious what size do you wear from them in pants?
Those pants look like they were tailored for you! And I agree about the color of that jacket – perfection.
loving the whole outfit. so cute! i love the color combos.
Love that color on you! Great blazer 🙂
@Tamara-Actually their pants fit me better than their dresses. I’m an 18 in their pants. But for these I sized up.
You look stunning! I love those pants. I just did a post a few days ago with the same pair but I am going to wear them again soon because the pics for that post were taken with my daughter’s Itouch and didn’t turn out very clear. The color of these pants is so versitle. I love them…super comfy. I work with berry and I love them with this blue! Love your style and thank you for checking out my blog and your sweet comments. Now following! Kiah

You get 2 thumbs up for this look. I love the color combo. I personally haven’t tried the pleated pants but you make me want to (shopping restriction). Blue is one of my favorite colors so the blazer was a win win. Did you ask me to raise my hand if I’m addicted to Ruby Woo? 🙂
@Kerissa-I thought I was obsessed with Girl About Town, but that Ruby Woo may have taken it’s place. LOL!
You look amazing love the blue with pink. you look super sleek!
This is really cute! Very different. *Btw – I love that skirt that you have on in your header!*
