Hey curvy girls all over the world,
It must be something in the water because there is a baby boom going on. From Instagram to Facebook I’ve seen nothing but happy announcements of, “I’m Pregnant!” Oh, how I remember what that was like. Having a baby is such a wonderful thing yet challenging. I personally didn’t like the first and final trimester’s but everything in between was fantastic. Feeling the kicks, shopping for baby stuff, looking up names meaning light or the like and the soft dewy looking skin were the major highlights for me during pregnancy.
Though the feeling of pregnancy can be different for different expecting mothers, most women want to experience that feeling. And it probably is the best feeling in the world! But not all women encounter the same symptoms. While some may get nauseous, fatigued, and have increased urination, others simply do not experience any of these, and yet they can be pregnant. Hence, it becomes imperative for a couple, trying to conceive, to opt for pregnancy test services and maybe undergo an ultrasound to be fully assured whether they are pregnant or not.
Of course, this period is always so much nicer if your partner and father of the child has remained by your side, as, unfortunately, this isn’t the case for all moms-to-be. Cases of absent fathers can muddy the whole pregnancy experience for expecting mothers, not least in a financial sense. Some men may simply dispute paternity and claim that the child is not there’s in an effort to avoid the rigmarole of paying for child support, but they can’t dispute conclusive DNA evidence, no matter how hard they try. This is why many moms in this unfortunate situation have turned to things like DNA testing in Milwaukee so that they don’t have to go through parenthood without the economic support that they need to care for their child, even if the father would rather wash his hands of the whole affair. Anyway, such moms should certainly take a moment to give themselves some self-care and treat themselves to a shopping trip and select some fashionable new maternity clothes to take their minds off the ordeal.
I also remember deciding what I wanted to look like while pregnant. I wanted to be stylish, sexy, and chic. I didn’t want to look frumpy and I damn sure was not trying to give up my heels. I wore them up until the last month of my pregnancy. Swollen feet and heels are not a perfect combination so I rocked flip flops. Being pregnant is also the perfect time to wear body con dresses without the help of Spanx.
As a plus-size mom, I found that you don’t need to buy a lot of maternity clothes because in the first few months you can still wear what you already own. You just need to buy a few transition pieces like jeans and a couple of dresses and tops to accommodate your growing belly.
It was fun and challenging trying to find plus-size maternity clothes. It was a combination of shopping online and in-store. Believe it or not, I didn’t buy too many maternity clothes. Since I was pregnant during the spring and summer I just bought a ton of dresses and went one size up. I know that will not be the case for every pregnant plus-size woman so I thought I would help make being pregnant a tad easier by sharing the best places to shop for plus-size maternity clothes.
