Hey curvy girls all over the world,
Fresh out the inbox, we just got word that Project Runway winner and fashion design slayer Christian Siriano has teamed up with Lane Bryant for their next collaboration. Hold on, while I do a cartwheel. Yup!
Here’s what we know so far: The line will be limited edition. It will hit stores Spring 2016 and will be sold under the Chrisitan Siriano Lane Bryant Label.
Here’s what Chrisitian had to say about the collaboration: “In my opinion, fashion should never be defined by size. Regardless if it’s for red carpet or a day at the office, every woman should feel stylish and comfortable in their clothes. I’m excited about this partnership with Lane Bryant because it allows me the opportunity to showcase my designs on the everyday woman and allow them the opportunity to feel as beautiful and fashionable as possible.”
Chrisitian Siriano has dressed celebrities from Heidi Klum to Gabourey Sidibe. I remember when I had the opportunity to attend one of his shows and interview him (watch HERE). Lane Bryant has been brilliant with their designer collaboration choices and each one of them from Isabel Toledo to Lela Rose has been successful.
Chrisitian is no stranger to dressing plus size. Back in 2013 he made a custom dress for Gabourey Sidibe to attend his 2013 spring show. I was there and snapped a quick pic of Gabourey in his dress.

This is such amazing news for the plus size world to have a designer of Chrisitian’s status and popularity create clothes for those of us above a size 14. I expect this collection to be a medley of feminine and edgy frocks.
