Hey curvy girls all over the world,
I am a self-proclaimed beauty junkie. I can’t say I’m an expert (although I would love to go to one of those beauty schools I hear people talk so many good things about), but I do know a thing or two about hair and skin care. When the seasons change, I like to switch up my products. Actually, scratch that. Every month, I like to switch up my beauty products. Trying out the latest face mask, cleanser, or even perfume, gets me excited. I know some people take it a step further though. They’ll read through a bunch of Dermal Repair Complex reviews and the like to try supplements to give their skin an extra boost. They look great so I can’t blame them, but for me I like to keep it external – whether I’m shopping at my local drugstore or fave department store. Speaking of department stores, recently, I received some beauty goodies from Bloomingdale’s. Many of you know I shop Bloomy’s for clothes, shoes, and bags. However, I’ve been sleeping on their beauty department.
Bloomingdale’s beauty department is a medley of luxe beauty brands ranging from Clinique to Missoni. They have everything you need and more. I love that they have beauty brands exclusive to their store. In the beauty box I received from Bloomingdale’s there were a few beauty brands that I had never tried before. Which was a good thing because I’ve been looking to update my beauty routine with some new products this month.
Checkout the goodies that were in my beauty boxy from Bloomingdale’s.
Clinique City Block Purifying Charcoal Clay Mask
OMG, you guys! If you wear makeup on a daily basis or feel like your skin is looking a tad bit raggedy, then ya’ll need to try this charcoal mask. It’s a quick 5 minute mask that helps to detoxify and exfoliate your skin. Basically, it helps to get rid of all the impurities in your skin for a more polished look.
When it comes to cleansers I have my holy grail products. However, this month EVE LOM has creeped up into my skin routine. I mean if Vogue claims it to be the best cleanser in the world, then you should probably try it, right?! What I like about this cleanser is that its a two in one. You use it to melt away your makeup and to help brighten and tone your skin. It even comes with a muslin cloth to improve skin circulation while cleansing. Cleansing should be an integral part of your skincare routine, no matter which way you do it, you need to find something that works for your skin type. There are a variety of ingredients in cosmetic and cleansing products, from distilled water 5l to natural oils, however, before using them on their own you should always do a test beforehand and research these ingredients to make sure you are not allergic or affected badly by any. For instance, many of the detoxing and cosmetics products might come in a low-grade plastic container that can adulterate the product by dissolving some amount of plastic into it. this could be the reason why many cosmetic businesses tend to use sustainable wholesale packaging options for their products.
Bobbi Brown Sparkle Eye shadow
Bobbi Brown has a cult following. Mainly due to her amazing foundations and the myriad of shades they come in. I’ve never tried her eye shadows, so when I saw it in the beauty box I had to put it on. I tried the sparkle eye shadow which gave the prettiest highlighted look. I would definitely sweep this over my eyes as well as alongside my cheekbones. I’m a girl who loves glitter and this shadow is perfect.
No beauty routine is complete without a fragrance. I use a fragrance before bed and in the morning. Missoni’s latest perfume is perfect for a fall day. It has a citrus, floral, and woody scent that just screams fall.
Normally, I don’t use an eyelash curler but I started to ever since I tried the Kevyn Aucoin stainless steel professional curler. It really grips my lashes and helps to curve them up.
Have you guys tried any of these products? What products have you updated your beauty routine with?

Great list – thanks for sharing! I’ve never tried using a fragrance before bed, so I’ll have to try that tip! 🙂
