Hey curvy girls all over the world,
It’s that time of year again. Yes, finally, spring is here and in true SC fashion we are bringing you our annual spring trend guide. I feel like this spring is going to be an amazingly fashionable one for plus size women because we have more options than ever before. More new and independent designers than ever before, and even old school plus brands have put their best design foot forward and have come up with some great on trend looks.
This season there are a bevy of trends we should be trying, one of them being the crop top. Yes,this year I am on the hunt for the perfect one for my body type. Other great trends to try are jumpsuits, the return of the black and white trend and more.
Checkout our list of the top trends every plus size woman should be trying
Jumpsuits
OMG, you guys, I love, love, love jumpsuits and I am so glad they’re everywhere, especially in plus sizes. Love this one from Monif C.
Pastels
Sorbet colors are one of the hottest trends this season. We love the color trend in classic simplistic shapes.
Black & White Stripes
The black and white color scheme in itself is a trend, but stripes are having another moment in 2014.
Sporty Chic
Sporty Chic is probably one of my favorite trends because its refreshing. I love the sexy and feminine spin Monif C. put on a few of her pieces.
Edgy Florals
So, florals are always in but I like how this year lots of designers have mixed black and other deep darker colors with bright florals. Eloquii did a great job with this trend in their comeback collection.
Colorblocked Dresses
Colorblocking is here to stay and season after season it gets stronger. This year, designers showed alot of colorblocked dresses, particularly sheath dresses. Simply Be pretty much nailed it with this exposed zipper dress
Crop Tops
Kimono’s
Asian influence was also another trend on the spring runways. We love how plus size brands are designing chic kimono’s, which make for a great alternative to a jacket during those breezy spring days.
Kaleidoscope Prints
Prints are on trend every year, but we really love the aztec and kaleidoscope prints that make a bold statement.
