Hey curvy girls all over the world,
This week I was a featured panelist for FFFWeek’s blogging 101 panel. I was a panelist along with Madeline Figueroa the EIC of Plus Model Magazine and Marina Zelner the designer for Queen Grace Collection.  I was so honored to be on this panel to represent the blogging community. Marie Denee from The Curvy Fashionista was the mediator and she did a phenomenal job. Now checkout a few pics from the event

First up, here’s what I wore

I sported a chic Calvin Klein colorblocked sheath dress with my black and patent Jessica Simpson platform sandals. I also got a new do for the summer. I decided to go for short bangs that framed my face with longer hair that I got from Indique Hair

A black leather tote bag from Loft, silver bangles from Ashley Stewart, and a cobalt blue bangle from Loft

Me with Marie Denee and Marina Zelner of Queen Grace

Me and my Ty from Gorgeous and Grey
 Maddy from Plus Model Magazine

My new buddy Tamara from The Curvy Socialite

After the panel I ran into some super cute Aussie girls all headed over to the curves and cocktails networking event.

I finally got to meet friend in my head Chastity from Garner Style

and Rez from the city

Also caught up with one of my fave plus size models Fluvia Lacerda

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
This week, I swung by the OneStopPlus fall preview in midtown. While, my mind is still on all these spring, I was quite impressed with this years fall collection from OSP. Each year they get better and better at offering more on trend styles with modern cuts and shapes. For fall 2012 OSP cranked out quite a few heavy impressive styles for the plus size woman.

One change they made, was having real plus size models at the preview showing how the clothes will look on a shapely body. I’m still hoping that they will nix the size 6 and 8 models on their website but hey, one thing at a time. As for the collection, they jumped on the color bandwagon and each brand housed under their name offered a myriad of bright reds, pinks, blues, orange’s, yellow’s, and rich browns. I saw loads of colored denim, leopard print, and colorblocked pieces. OSP has been working on their prints and for fall 2012, they hit the right note with a bevy of tribal print dresses and tops.
You’ll also notice lots of leather pieces. Get ready to embrace fall with colored waterfall  leather jackets, leather bow embellished shift dresses, and leather skinny pants. The massive online plus size mall also continued with last year trends such as capes, maxi skirts, and tie neck blouses. There was even a boost in the lingerie section with delicate lace and animal printed bra and pantie sets, printed robes, and comfy cotton pajama’s. They’ve also expanded their accessories collection with studded wide belts, wide width boots and heels, and even showcased a few baubles to accessorize you fall looks.
I’m going to say bravo OSP on this fall collection. I definitely see the growth. Can’t wait to get the yellow leather waterfall jacket
Take a look at what’s to come. Are you digging OSP’s fall 2012 collection?
Fall pieces will begin hitting the website in mid August. Visit OneStopPlus for their current spring and summer collection.

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
Last week me and my colorblocked Vince Camuto heels traveled to the Natori bra event hosted by Nicolette Mason of Marie Claire’s “Big Girl In A Skinny World” column. Natori is a luxe lingerie powerhouse brand that makes the most amazing intimates. I personally have a sexy colorful animal print nightie and can attest to the quality and overall sexiness of their lingerie.

Natori teamed up with Nicolette Mason to unveil their new line of bras that go up to a size 40H. As an ample bosom girl, I’m always down to try out a new bra so I knew I had to checkout the goods for myself.

I arrived at the event and was greeted by an impeccably dressed Josie Natori (the brands designer/CEO) and the super cute Nicolette Mason who rocked a floral ASOS Curve dress and her coveted gold Miu Miu heels.

After greeting the hosts, I headed straight to the bra’s to touch and feel. I must say they were quite lovely. The cool thing about the new Natori bra’s were the gel straps. Talk about comfortable. Words can’t express how comfy the gel straps were. Most bra’s that go up to size 40H are very basic. Natori’s bra’s are made with quality, delicate lace and come in rich hues.

I had a chance to talk with the Natori designers and they assured me that when they were designing this collection they had curvy girls in mind. They designed the new bra’s for curvy women who didn’t want to sacrifice style for comfort and support. Women who wanted a bra that felt so comfortable on, it made them forget that they were wearing a bra. And of course, they designed pieces for the woman on the go, who needs versatile pieces.

You should also know that Natori carries plus sizes up to a 2X in select pieces from their N. Natori collection. You can find fancy robes and night gowns.

What I enjoyed most about the event is how the designers actually sat down next to me and discussed in depth what plus size women are looking for and what are they willing to pay for. I’ve been to enough previews to know that not all designers really care what plus size women want, so this to me was very sincere.

You can checkout all of Natori’s collections including a ready to wear line that goes up to a size 16. Visit Natori today and also follow them on Twitter and Facebook

Be sure to let them know what you would like to see more of for your plus size curves. Believe me, they will listen and execute.

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
It’s been awhile since I’ve been on the social scene for blogging events. This week I decided to get back on my social grind and my first social event for 2012 was Simply Be’s blogger party for their Spring 2012 collection. Like many blogging events the parties are always in Manhattan. Simply Be chose Pranna restaurant on Madison avenue to host their blogger event.

Simply Be really knows how to throw a party. They kept the drinks flowing and the appetizers were not what we typically see at events. There was no sliced duck wrapped in lettuce to be found.

There was a clothing rack filled with ruffled dresses, sheer tops, and structured jackets from the spring collection.

A white tuxedo jacket was everyone’s favorite item

And an open knit sweater was pretty popular too.

The event was filled with stylish bloggers, contest winners, models, and PR girls

I rocked a leopard print wrap dress from ASOS Curve, cropped blazer from Torrid, and my suede ankle boots from Bakers.
