During a time where it seems like plus size fashion and size inclusivity is regressing, blogger turned designer Gabi Gregg aka Gabi Fresh comes through with her very own clothing line called Villa Fresca. A luxury resort wear and swimwear brand.
Villa Fresca offers statement swimwear for sizes 4-30. The brand says, “Villa Fresca celebrates the intersection of intentional design and luxury travel. Offering statement swim and resort wear for leisure and self-loving women, we are forward thinking, design-led, and dedicated to quality.”
We’ve seen Gabi grow as a designer and creative director through her collaborations with Swimsuits For All, Fashion To Figure, and Playful Promises. Back in 2017 she launched her first clothing line called Premme with brand strategist Nicolette Mason.
While the brand was well received with sold out collections. Unfortunately, in 2019 they had to close its doors. Gregg’s loyal following has always wanted her to come out with another clothing line. And in true Gabi Fresh style, Villa Fresca offers vacation style trend driven pieces for women of all sizes.
Since 2012 Gabi has been making headlines with her unapologetic views on plus size women wearing bikini’s. She is credited with coining the phrase “Fatkini.” It’s during that time we saw her transition from blogger to body positive activist, and then into a bonafide designer. With her very first Swimsuits For All collection.
Gabi Fresh Villa Fresca Inclusive Resort Wear Collection
Gabi announced the launch of her swimwear for women back in February. Today is the official launch day. And the new brand offers exactly what her followers and I expected.
There’s a medley of one piece swimsuits as well as bikini’s in elegant prints and rich hues. In addition to the size inclusive swimwear you can find long flowing cover ups.
The swimsuits truly look luxe with beaded details, gold tone hardware, and flattering cut-outs. I also love that Villa Fresca features a range of models. From straight to plus size. And they all have different body types. It’s a true show of what it means to be a size inclusive brand.
