So, now that the weather is officially heating up, I can’t wait to get my summer wardrobe together. Earlier this week, I showed you how I am using Gwynnie Bee to help save money on summer clothes. Although, I’m using a plus size rental service for cute summer looks, I have been browsing some of my favorite online plus size brands to see what new pieces they have for the summer season. Right now, I am absolutely smitten with River Island plus size summer collection. It is sexy, dashing, feminine, and modern.
River Island Plus Size Collection is filled with bold prints ranging from florals to aztec. You’ll find sleek cropped suits, ruffled dresses and skirts. One common trend that seems to be the theme of the collection is the bardot look, aka off the shoulder. Off the shoulder is one of the biggest trends this year. River Island’s summer collection for plus is filled with bardot dresses and tops. After their official spring debut earlier this year (See HERE) River Island has been bringing it with sexy dresses with asymmetrical cuts, draped and pleated details. 
What I was most surprised at from the summer collection was the cropped pant suits. Most plus size brands offer the typical navy, beige, and gray suit but River Island took things a step further with a striped sleeveless vest and cropped pant suit. There’s also a yellow cropped pant suit that will definitely be an office stunner.

While there’s trendy styles in the River Island plus size summer collection, you’ll also find some simple and cute tops and bottoms that will have you looking polished this summer. It’s still unfortunate that RI Plus only goes up to a size 20 but the pricing is pretty good in comparison to other plus size brands, with pieces under $100.
