Hey curvy girls all over the world,

Today’s plus size girl can has a bevy of places to shop. I remember back in the day, when all we had were Lane Bryant and Ashley Stewart. Options for plus size women have immensely evolved and we now have more and more places to shop so that we can stay fly. Today, I am uber happy to share the great news that Hot Topic has a new spot for curvy girls to shop and it’s called Lovesick Plus Size Clothing. 160412_header_GypsySol

Lovesick is the sister to Torrid but it has more of a boho chic vibe. “They are a brand that’s for trendy, curvy girl sizes 10-26 who loves fashion that doesn’t cost a lot.” On their site you will find a slew of graphic tees, denim skirts, flirty shorts, and flowy dresses all in sizes 10-26. Even the accessories have a boho vibe with a variety of choker and bib necklaces. The belts give more of a western feel with bold buckles. Lovesick Plus Size clothing taps into your girly feminine side with floral printed skater dresses. Their styles are truly befitting of a Southern California girl. 10566046_hi

One of the greatest things about Lovesick is that they have actual brick and mortar stores for you to shop in. Currently they have a total of 12 stores but majority of the stores are in the mid west. You can checkout the store locations HERE10616315_hi

Much like Torrid, Lovesick also offers intimates. Cute and sexy bralette and panty sets. 10541485_hi

Another plus for Lovesick plus size clothing is that a lot of the pieces are under $50. They even have their site setup where you can shop by what’s the hottest trend. You’ll find a variety of trendy styles ranging from modern denim pieces to frilly and flirty Santa Fe styles. 10591103_hi

I just have to say, proceed with caution. I purchased almost five hundred dollars worth of clothes from Lovesick in June – almost all of it rayon or rayon mixes. Their stuff is so much cuter than Torrid (IMO), but I had to return over half of the items because the sizing was so off for me. Unfortunately the biggest issue is that just about everything shrunk after one washing in cold, on gentle cycle w/ Woolite and air drying. Most of them faded enough that they look well worn. Several of the shirts frayed in one or more places and large amounts of threads came loose. Some of them I hadn’t even worn yet, just washed. This is not dry clean only clothing, but it should be and may have to do with it being thin rayon. When I mentioned my problems to a Torrid cashier, she said she knew Lovesick was a cheaper alternative to Torrid but she didn’t think the clothing itself was supposed to be cheap. Fortunately Lovesick responded to my concerns on Facebook and I’m in the process of corresponding with them.
