Hey curvy girls all over the world,
Today we live in a world where body shaming has become the norm and loving your body, regardless of size has become controversial. Stylish Curves has always been about embracing your body and learning to love it. So, when Ashley Stewart asked us to be part of their Dare to Bare Valentines Day event, I jumped at the opportunity. Body acceptance is important to me and the Ashley Stewart event is definitely a place I wanted to be.
Last Saturday, I was invited to host Ashley TV during the event. I got to chat with some of the movers and shakers in the plus size industry and connect with Ashley Stewart shoppers. The Dare to Bare event was sponsored by Plus Model Magazine and Vera Moore Cosmetics. The hosts for the evening were none other than Ashley Stewart models Christina Mendez and Jessica Milagros.
Upon arriving at the event, we spied this beautiful pink and silver dessert table
It was filled with cookies, candy, and little Ashley Stewart cakes.Ashley Stewart had a VIP lounge set up for us to do interviews.
For the event, I wore a draped faux leather jacket and red sleeveless dress from Ashley Stewart.
Christina Mendez and Jessica Milagros were excellent hosts for the Valentines Day Party. They were all dressed in Ashley Stewart.
Jessica wore a crop top gown set and Christina is wearing a red cutout scuba dress
Tamara Ivey who works for Ashley Stewart Marketing put the event together. I just love her.
Vera Moore cosmetics and her team were there to represent.
DJ Queen of Spades was tearing up the turntables with Beyonce hits.
And WBLS was in the building posing with some of the models.
Oh, and speaking of the models, the lingerie show was uber sexy and empowering. You can shop the Dare to Bare collection HERE
Blogger Liz Black of PS Its Fashion was there doing bra fittings.
Plus Model Magazine Editor Madeline Jones was one of the event sponsors. She’s wearing an Ashley Stewart denim shirt and a camo tulle skirt.
I had such a great time doing pink carpet interviews.
All the ladies did a great job.
