Plus Size Canadian Designer Flaws Of Couture Is Now Available On ASOS Marketplace

We always want to show love to indie plus size designers. Often times they don’t get the love and support they need and most importantly deserve. Whenever a plus size indie brand expands, we have to share it. Today, we want to send a HUGE congratulations to Flaws of Couture. The body positive plus size Canadian brand is now available on ASOS Marketplace.

The brand announced it on their Instagram this week.

When the @asosmarketplace team contacted me this summer, I lost my shit. I actually thought that the email was a prank. ASOS is contacting ME? Scouting ME? Telling ME that they think @shop.foc would be PERFECT FIT for their platform?! – I swear to you, I read it over 15 times before responding. I’m still amazed. To some, maybe this isn’t a big deal, but for ME, it is. Simply because I didn’t believe at the time that I was even on “that level”. -So much has happened since the summer, but despite minor setbacks – HERE WE ARE. This one is honestly for us, guys. I’m so glad that FOC is now in front of a more vast audience. Every time I have a shitty thought that FOC has almost run it’s course, GOD reminds me that I’ve only just begun. I want you guys to know that I KNOW I couldn’t have gotten here without you. You guys have stuck with me from the VERY VERY beginning when it was all just for fun, and I’m so glad that we can all share this together. From the people who’ve shopped, to the people who’ve reposted and shared, to the ppl who remind me DAILY that I’m doing SOMETHING AMAZING…thank you. This ones truly for us! • You can NOW SHOP: @shop.foc on @asosmarketplace by clicking the link in my bio and/or visiting the ASOS site itself! Let’s show them what we got! ✨🙈😬😅 #ASOSMarketplace x #ShopFOC

Flaws of Couture was originally started by Sasha and Garcia. A few years ago they started their line with infinity scarves and then moved on to tees and cropped sweatshirts. What made their tees and sweatshirts so popular was their Pretty Period collection. Their shirts read, “Pretty For A Big Girl” a comment that was all too familiar to plus size women. They then made another top that said, “Pretty Period” which was their response to the backhanded compliment of Pretty for a big girl.

The Flaws of Couture brand is all about body positivity. With their sexy and edgy style, they have built a cult following. Their mission statement says,

“Full of Curves by Flaws of Couture is not just a clothing brand, but a movement. Pushing the body positive & self love agenda, FOC is here to start conversations, question societal norms, adorn ALL WOMEN in swagger, all while celebrating the very bodies we’ve been conditioned to despise. There is no ONE WAY to have a good body and FOC is here to prove THAT and the SWAG.”
