Hey curvy girls all over the world,
When it comes to outerwear, I believe in having coats for different occasions. I love a good work coat, evening coat, cute jacket, and a weekend coat. For weekend coats, I personally love a Parka. To me, a parka is just as cool and edgy as a biker jacket. In the fall and winter, I like to be comfortable on the weekends. Comfort for me is a pair of skinny jeans or a skirt with a sweater.
I had a parka from last year but the sleeves were too short. While doing a little online shopping, I found this parka on the Jessica London site. For those of you that don’t know, Jessica London offers a bevy of great coats for plus size women. I have a few blazers and jackets from them that fit well and have lasted.
This weekend, was a mix between mild and chilly, which made for the perfect weather to breakout my new weekend jacket. I love the fit of this parka. It hangs open nicely and has enough room for layering. I normally size up in coats but I got my true size in this one and it fit well. I can do a little light layering. Anything bulky will make the coat too tight. I wanted a relaxed look so I rocked the coat with a pair of deconstructed jeans from Forever21 Plus and one of my favorite sweaters from Simply Be. I accented all the green going on with a gold link jewel encrusted necklace from ASOS Curve.
I added a cute little sweater hat from H&M and studded ankle boots from Michael Antonio for a Brooklyn, NY street vibe.

On the weekends, I also like to switch it up by wearing flats and relaxed fitting skirts. To give the jacket a more girly spin, I wore it with a black turtleneck and a bird printed a-line skirt, with knee high flat suede boots.
Most weekends, I am out shopping so I always use one of my many Feed bags to throw stuff in. I wanted to play up all the green is this look too so I went with a long green bauble necklace from Banana Republic.
