Hey curvy girls all over the world,
A few weeks ago I was introduced to the fashion side of Avon. Now, I pride myself on being in the know when it comes to anything fashion related whether its plus or standard sizes. However, my fashion radar must be having technical difficulties because I did not know that Avon the iconic beauty brand sold apparel, footwear, and accessories. Avon’s fashion department hosts a bevy of classic cut dresses, tops, handbags and footwear. While the accessories and footwear selection is skimpy to say the least, the clothing, surprisingly is pretty alright. There are no groundbreaking styles but there were a few pieces that made you look twice, like a black and blue colorblocked dress, a faux wrap printed dress, and faux fur vest.
For plus size women you will be happy to know that Avon’s clothes goes up to a size 3X (26W-28W). If offering plus sizes doesn’t get you, the prices will. Many of their styles are under $50 with dresses starting at $29.99.
Now you can get your face wash, lipstick, and a dress all in one place. Kudos to Avon for becoming a one stop shop site.

They even offer men’s, kids, and a home section. Who knew?!

Yes, Avon has stepped up it’s game and I have been a rep for over 5 years. I have this dress which I posted on my blog a few weeks ago, can’t wait for the weather to change to wear it!

I find that Avon clothes run smaller than most other brands. But they make cute, stylish clothes now.

Oh yes, to those who don’t know Avon is stepping their game up…my mom’s been a rep since about ’98 and I been loving their clothes…yes they do sometimes run a size small and the material may be a little lighter than some would like but if you like to layer or live where it’s hotter (I was in TX) it’s great…They also have Cushion Walk shoes….it’s an insole built into the shoes and for us curvy girls, having more comfortable shoes for all our lusciousness is a must…I think about a good 1/3 of my clothes and shoes are by Avon….lol

That blue one is AMAZING!! Avon uses vanity sizing so I wear smaller than normal with them, but they have an amazing return policy! the blue one is so flattering with the black panels!

Just came across this post as I was virtually reminiscing…
Avon used to sell clothing waaay back in the 80’s, was known then as Avon Fashions. I had a closet full of lace naughties – almost identical to the Lacie line at V.S. – but the whole undergarment range and sizes, silk charmeuse this&thats, and a LOT of leather from them. They had plus sizes then, but also the rarity of xxs/xs, which was almost impossible to find in a mail-order catalog. Yes, mail order.
This was before they became Newport News and then sister to Spiegel – I don’t know what the current Avon incarnation is all about. I might have to find out.
Another one I miss is Night N Day Intimates, which also had some really lovely things for sale.
