Shirtdress Chic

Hey curvy girls all over the world,

You guys know how much I love transitional pieces. One of my favorite transitional pieces is a shirtdress because its perfect for work and can take my straight into the weekend. I have been on the hunt for a khaki colored shirtdress and found one at Ashley Stewart. It is designed with a drawstring waist and gold buttons. I normally am not a fan of drawstring waists because they don’t lay correctly on someone with an ample stomach like myself. I did have to adjust it a few times to get the right look I wanted.

I wanted to create a simple chic look and decided to rock the dress with a pair of orange gladiator sandals and tan tote.

I accessorized with a gold necklace and gold cuff.

I plan on wearing this dress on the weekend with a pair of studded flats and shopper tote bag. I love when I can get multiple wears out of my clothes.

Shirtdresses are my absolute favorite spring/summer staples! I love them more than a sundress for the warmer weather. Dressed up or down- one word: versatility! I’m definitely purchasing this one! I just wonder how true to size is this brand/maker?

It’s Ashley Stewart so I would size up because I feel like they run small.

Just wanted to let you know that the first and third photo have some resizing issues… the photos are showing as squares when they were taken as RECTANGLE photos.

Did not mean to capitalize the word rectangle; for some reason the comment box on your blog shows the entire message in caps.
