Over the years, there have been some pretty epic plus size clothing collaborations. So, when I heard that Amber Rose and UK based brand Simply Be would be teaming up, I squealed out loud. This is a collaboration that was definitely unexpected but I am seriously hyped about. Today, in an exclusive, People Magazine spilled the beans.

Amber is a curvy girl herself and she has always been supportive of women of all shapes and sizes. She shared with People Magazine some difficulties she faced when it came to finding clothes that would fit her after having her son.
Amber says, “After I had my son I was 202 pounds and it took me almost a year to lose the weight.” “So I was wearing plus-size for a while and I found it very difficult to find easy pieces to throw on that I felt comfortable in.”
I think many women can identify with that. Although the options for plus size clothing have improved, we still have a long way to go in comparison to what’s available for non plus size women. Amber has become such an influential voice as a feminist and overall cheerleader for women being and doing what they want. Since Simply Be relaunched their US website, this is definitely a surprising collaboration to start off with.
Simply Be has always been the kind of brand that stays on top of current trends. Amber’s capsule collection will feature 25 pieces ranging from size 6-32. Prices will range from $25-$40. The collection is set to be available online June 20th.
