Designer Rachel Roy was spotted wearing an ultra chic look that is perfect for spring and for the office. A neutral color palette with a pop of color can make a simple look standout. Rachel is a master at chic looks. Even when she does simple it’s always with a twist. Take the silk cargo pants, there’s a tie at the ankle which adds a bit of interest to her outfit. She added personal swagger by letting the button up sleeves hang below the blazer sleeves. Rachel topped her look off with a dark brown top handle bag and peeptoe sandals.

i love me some racheal roy for sure…but speaking as a fashion student, the fabric used on that pant is not very forgiving for a big girl…maybe a sturdier fabric would work better…

@earstothefeet-I’m a big rachel roy fan myself. Thanks so much.
@fatshion and fattitude: I totally get that fabrics that have structure work best for big girls, but, when it comes draped pants that are meant to have a loose fit or slouchy fit, it’s all about the cut. I think big girls need to realize that they have to find the right cut for their shape when it comes to trends that have exaggerated shapes. The pants above may not work for every big girl, but, they will work for many. It’s the same for harem pants. Big girls can wear them, it’s just about finding the right cut and fit. The above is just merely an option.
