Hey curvy girls all over the world,
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and is ready for the work week. As I embark upon a new week, I am filled with optimism. A new week can bring positive change and new opportunities. This week I am looking forward to getting my creative juices flowing so I can continue to reach my dreams.
I normally reserve Sunday’s for personal and career reflection. I try to set aside time to think about all the things I want to accomplish for the week. When Monday rolls around I like to wake up a little earlier than usual have a cup of coffee and watch channel 11 news while I get my mind ready for what may come my way.
Another thing I like to do is really take my time to get ready. I hate having to rush on Monday mornings so I plan my outfit the night before like I am back in grade school. LOL!
Today I wanted a look that was classic with a modern twist. I chose to rock a pink houndstooth tie neck blouse from Steve Harvey’s K&G line. Let me say this blouse is nothing short of fantastic. Although it’s not silk it has a soft silky feel and the color is so rich.
I wore it with my Simply Be PVC pleated skirt and suede ankle boots to add a modern twist to the classic top. Sometimes I get color happy and like to match my lipstick to what I’m wearing. I smoothed on MAC’s “Girl About Town” on my lips and for my eyes I blended a gold and dark green shadow from Elizabeth Arden. This is what I call Monday Chic.

Im a sucker for anything leather these days so Im loving the skirt on you! The blouse is perfect with the edgy leather. Very appropriate for work without going overboard.
