Take a Peek Into My Weekend on Mommy Duty

Hey curvy girls all over the world,

Most people think that I am always in heels and chic dresses on the daily and to some degree that is true. I would say about 4 out of 7 days I am always in heels and dresses. I feel so dowdy when I’m not. However, for 3 days out of the week, I am in flats, jeans, or a casual tee paired with a skirt. I save my more casual looks for the weekends because that’s when I’m on full mommy duty.

This past weekend was jammed packed for me and my little 6 year old love love. I had to take him to karate practice, we had to go to the grocery store, do the laundry, and a little bit of shopping. Normal stuff. Since I had a laundry list of things to do, I wanted to be comfortable but cute. I do not believe in looking like a frumpy mom.

I opted for a striped top, yellow midi skirt (Last worn HERE), denim jacket, and a pair of studded flats. I completed my look with gold accessories and a blue leather Marc Jacobs tote.

Before heading to karate practice me and love love always have to take a selfie. Yes, my baby is missing a few teeth. LOL!

In karate practice, they were working on stretching and my baby could almost do the split. Proud mommy.

After that, we headed to the movies to see the Avengers, which was awesome.  Then we took a few outfit photos with my Iphone 6. I taught him how to old the camera phone. He’s my little photographer.

While I love my heels, sometimes I just want to be relaxed and move freely. When I was a new mommy, I used to try and wear my heels and look sexy all the time but kids are unpredictable and it started becoming too much to chase him around in them. Also, I was not trying to have my good dresses get all messed up with food stains.

Over the 6 short years I learned that I had to make some style adjustments especially with a little boy. Nevertheless, I never sacrificed style for comfort.
