Hey curvy girls all over the world,
As spring has finally begun, I’ve been thinking quite a lot about what I want to wear for the seasons. As far as color goes my main choices will be orange (thanks to Lupita) and cobalt blue. However, I did take a moment and think to myself, how great it would be if I could wear all white, all spring, and all summer. White is so refreshing, clean, and it goes quite well against my chocolate skin. When I wear all white, I basically look like a cup of Swiss Miss cocoa with the marshmallows. A nice smooth velvety combination. Yes, I sometimes compare my looks to food and drinks.
Okay, back to my thought of wearing all white all spring and summer. So, I had this thought of how great it would be until I looked at my five year old son with chocolate hands and chocolate smashed all over his face from left over Easter candy and thought to myself, oh hell no. Wearing all white, all the time would never work. When you’re a mom of a toddler you have to be careful of what you wear. Kids by nature are two things. Accident prone and messy. It is almost inevitable to keep white clean on them and yourself. With the picture of my five year old’s cute chocolate face and hands, I’ve decided to give up on a season of all white dressing and to keep my all white looks reserved for special occasions that involve a babysitter. Case in point, this little white jacquard skater dress was perfect for a sunset dinner where no kids were allowed. I snagged this simple cute dress from Boohoo Plus recent spring plus size collection. I was nervous about it because skater dresses can be long in the front and super short in the back, especially if you have a big booty. Luckily, when I tried it, it was longer int he back than most skater skirts. The fit was perfect and the dress was quite comfortable. Boohoo only goes up to a size 20 but some pieces offer a generous cut.
I love black, white, and blue as a color combination, and decided to get my Elvis on by adding a pair of blue suede shoes to my ensemble. I love these lace up gladiator sandals from Steve Madden and a jewel encrusted clutch from Dorothy Perkins.
For makeup I went with a glossy red lip with YSL Rouge Shine lipstick in Danger #4 and blue eyeliner from Wet n Wild.
So, what do ya’ll think? Leave a comment

Note: This dress was gifted to me by Boohoo but all opinions are my own.

Love the look…the shorter hair is so becoming on you! I have always stayed clear of white for fear of looking larger but i have recently grown more fond of the color. Fit is the most important thing to consider. Anyway, thanks so much for inspiring all of us curvy girls!
