Hey curvy girls all over the world,
As women, I believe we have to overcome our body fears and work with what we have instead of against it. For years, my cellulite used to plague my mind. I would never wear shorts or a mini skirts because I was so fearful of my cellulite being exposed. As I started becoming more confident with my body, I started to embrace above the knee lengths. I think I mentioned to all of you before that I have put on more than a few pounds. Well, with packing on the pounds, some of my insecurities came back. Whenever I have moments of weakness with body insecurities, my way of fighting back is by embracing the very thing that I want to hide.
So, to combat my cellulite insecurities, this week, I broke out a romper. Yup! I said to myself, this is such a cute romper and I would hate to return it because of some cellulite. The thing that most women have, whether they’re fat or not. When I say work with what you have, instead of against it, I mean for you to find a happy medium. For me my happy medium with this romper was that it wasn’t too short. It hit above the knee but still gave me enough coverage that all of my cellulite wasn’t exposed. Some was exposed but not all. I was okay with that and felt pretty darn sexy in this romper.
This romper fit amazing. Really, it did. It has a faux wrap bodice and it ties at the waist. Overall, it created a nice shape and flattered my body type. I decided to wear a pair of aux suede pink gladiator sandals from Michael Antonio. I wanted to continue playing up the pink so I swiped on MILANI Color Statement Lipstick – Raspberry Rush
I’m the biggest I have ever been in my life and i’m rocking a romper. I truly love me and although I want to drop a few pounds I still love my body and embrace it, flaws and all. I hope my little battle is helpful to you in overcoming your body insecurities.
No amount of cellulite will keep me down. How do you overcome your body insecurities?

Love the romper! Great colors. I try to do the same when I’m having a body insecurity. I just flaunt it even though at times it’s not always easy!

Yes Ashley! Obviously, I feel the same way but the feeling is great when you overcome it.

Alissa, you are truly an inspiration to me. You are teaching me to step outside the box with fashion. I share the same insecurities as you do, and I admire how you embrace them. Looking at you in this romper makes me want to buy it right away, even though it’s a piece I would never purchase on my own. We appear to have a similar body type, so if it looks great on you, I’m sure it would look ok on me too…Keep doing what you’re doing….and thank you!!
