Hey curvy girls all over the world,
So, I’ve been trying to crank out my fashion week articles this week and between events and shows I’ve been slacking. However, I’m making up for it. I have a new review ready for you today.
First up was BCBG and now, checkout my review of Monika Chiang’s spring collection. If you’re unfamiliar with Monika Chiang, she debuted a buzz worthy fall collection back in 2011 that was well received due to it’s edgy yet preppy appeal.
Her collections have been compared to Tor Burch due to her dating big time investor Christopher Burch. However, Monika has a style of her own and I was very pleased with her spring 2013 collection. I really would love to see her stuff in plus. Literally something for ever style personality.

Here’s a little excerpt of my review that I wrote for John Simon Daily:
I love seeing collections that are down to earth and not so over the top. Monika Chiang’s spring collection not only provided realistic looks but it had a downtown girl flair that was equal parts cool and chic. I can just imagine myself strolling Soho in NYC rocking the gorgeous pleated green floor length pants or hanging out with the girls in the white sleeveless biker vest that was part of her spring 2013 collection…..

Oh, and her spring shoe collection was on point too. The two below were my fave
I also spotted Tika Sumpter being interviewed by VH1 who was hogging up all her time.
I did mange to whisper in her ear how happy I was for her to be a dark skinned woman doing her thing on TV and film. You know me!
