One of the most anticipated shows during New York Fashion Week is Tadashi Shoji. The Japenese-American designer always brings it. He just knows how to make show stopping dresses for women. As a plus size woman, I love that he creates size inclusive clothing. For Tadashi Shoji fall 2020 collection he drew inspiration from the Mongolian Empire.
What was so amazing about the Tadashi Shoji fall 2020 collection were the motif dresses and coats. Each piece that came down the runway was gorgeous and created with intricate details. Rich greens, bright reds, metallics, and the Mongolian geometric tile prints really emphasized the inspiration from the Empire.
Some of my favorite pieces were the coats. Especially the brocade coats. They were elegant. Some of the leopard print faux fur hats caught my eye as well. In true Tadashi Fashion there were plus size models that were part of the runway show. Some of the curvy models I spied were Lorena Duran, Olivia, and Christine.
I expect to see quite a few of these dresses hit the red carpet this year because of the opulence and draw dropping effect, stylists need to secure these pieces ASAP.
