I Took The Black Owned Makeup Brands Challenge Using Products From Fashion Fair, Iman Cosmetics, Vera Moore, & Juvias Place

Hey curvy girls all over the world,

This month I decided to take on the YouTube beauty blogger challenge called, “B.O.M.B.” Black Owned Makeup Brands Challenge. The challenge requires you to come up with a makeup look only using black owned makeup brands. ¬†As a black woman and makeup lover I use makeup from a variety of brands. Mainly brands that cater to women of color. I love me some Makeup Forever and Lancome. However, I realized that I don’t ever use products from black owned brands. That was mainly because I didn’t know of many black owned makeup brands.

When I saw fellow beauty vlogger Alissa Ashley do the B.O.M.B challenge. I knew I had to do it.

I decided to research black owned makeup brands. I found this awesome article on Black Girl Long Hair that listed 34 brands (read HERE) and ordered a few items so I could take the challenge. I created a colorful fall makeup look using 100% black owned makeup products from brands like Fashion Fair, Vera Moore, Iman Cosmetics, Juvias Place, and Lena’s Lashes.
