WORKWEAR WEDNESDAY: Office Chic In Monif C. Color Block Plus Size Shift Dress

It’s Workwear Wednesday! Today we are going to discuss rocking color-block shift dresses to the office. As I’ve always said, work wear doesn’t have to be boring. You can look professional and stylish simultaneously. You don’t have to sacrifice one for the other. I am always looking for new ways to amp up the style factor when it comes to work wear. Spring and summer are my favorite seasons to show off my workwear style because I can play with color and prints.

Recently, I hit up Monif C. plus sizes in NYC to check out her latest styles. While browsing her boutique I came across a color-blocked shift dress that was bold yet sophisticated. What really drew me into it was the asymmetrical hem line. It made the dress more interesting. Luckily, they had my size and I was happy with my choice.

The dress hits above the knee and the fit was very comfortable. It’s meant to be fitted but I sized up because I wanted a loose fit to make it more work appropriate.

I opted to wear it with a pair of white minimalist sandals and accessorized with gold jewelry like a Michael Kors watch, Forever 21 earrings and chain link necklace.
