One of the hottest summer trends is jorts. And we are going to help you discover how to style plus size jorts and where to shop them.
Long baggy denim shorts is something I typically turn my nose up to. It takes me back to the 90’s skater and grunge aesthetic. I wasn’t a fan of them back then but somehow, that trend has returned. We saw the popularity of Jorts grow within the past year. I’ve never tried them but in 2025 I’m intrigued. And as a big girl, I’ve been searching for the perfect pair of plus size jorts.
Whenever I become interested in a trend, I have to do a little research on it. I need to know what options are out there. And I need some outfit inspiration. Which is why today, we are going to be sharing with you some of the best plus size jorts options. In addition, we rounded up a few outfit ideas from some of your favorite plus size creators.

WHAT ARE JORTS?
Don’t get jorts confused with bermuda shorts. While they’re very similar. Jorts are more loose and baggy. And they can be longer, by going past the knee. I’ve always been a fan of bermuda shorts because they give the coverage I like and can be dressed up or down. But, this year I’m stepping out of my comfort zone and I’m going to give them a try.
Very much like barrel jeans, jorts can seem challenging to wear. As a plus size woman, I can’t tell you how many times people have told me to stay away from baggy clothing. They would say things like, “It’s only going to make you look bigger.” Even though I’m a person who does like her clothes a bit fitted or tailored. I still can appreciate oversized or loose fitting clothing.
My motto has always been, you can style anything to make it work for you. And that’s exactly what I want to do with the jorts trend.
