Office Chic In A Metallic Sweater Dress

Hey curvy girls all over the world,

Most of us have returned from our holiday vacations and are back at the office. Now that we have just started a new year, many people are thinking about workout gear. Not me. I’m thinking about how I can still keep my office looks fresh and chic, especially now that it’s getting colder.

Sweater dresses are a fantastic option to wear to work during the winter months. They’re easy to dress up and dress down. Recently, Eva Mendes dropped a new winter collection at New York & Company. I spied this metallic Aurelia sweater dress.

I was immediately drawn to the metallic look of the dress. It looks like a simple sweater dress but the metallic and navy waistband gave it a little extra something something. The dress has a scoop neck and fringe details. The fact that it’s sleeveless allows me to play around with layering.

I saw this sheer Isabella bow blouse in Eva’s collection and decided to layer it underneath the sweater dress. To compliment the navy colored blouse, I threw on one of my favorite coats. A pink wool belted coat.

To give this work chic look a modern twist, I slipped on a pair of sheer tights and black pointed toe ankle boots. Since the sweater dress has stretch in it. It gives a comfy smooth look. It’s a heavier material, so I didn’t have to worry about any of my lumps and bumps peeking through.

Eva has so many nice pieces in her collection and they go up to a size XXL or size 20.  I love how versatile her collection is. She has pieces you can wear to work, on the weekend, for special occasions.
