Hey curvy girls all over the world,
Most of you know that my favorite jean of choice and basically of all time are skinny jeans. However, I like to try out other denim styles just to give my skinny jeans a break. I enjoy wearing high-waist denim from time to time and I have been flirting with boyfriend jeans since the fall of 2015. Boyfriend jeans can be intimidating to a girl with a little meat on her bones. The relaxed fit can make you look bigger or sloppy. However, much like any piece of clothing, you have to find the right style and cut to make clothes work for your shape. I’ve learned that when it comes to boyfriend jeans, I like a mid rise pair to work for my ample tummy and I also like mine with a tad bit of stretch. That seems to work best for my shape.
A few weeks ago, I tried on a pair of Chelsea boyfriend jeans from Simply Be and became quite smitten. The Chelsea boyfriend jeans are a perfect blend of relaxed and edgy. They have just enough stretch to fit my curves comfortably, and the cuff and ripped details add flair to any look. They come in three different washes ranging from light to dark.
Jeans are a great transition piece. You can wear them day or night. For a daytime look, I wore my Chelsea Boyfriend Jeans with a cropped faux leather jacket with a fur collar accent. Underneath the jacket, I went with a check print blouse and tucked it in for a neat look. As for accessories, I carried a black tote, a pair of black suede pumps, and a silver studded cuff.

To make the boyfriend jeans work for night, I went with two pieces that scream nighttime. I rocked a sequin peplum top with a white tuxedo blazer, and added a black faux fur clutch. To take the look up a notch, I slipped on a pair of red suede pumps.
