Hey curvy girls all over the world,
So, I tried my and at print mixing again. Last time I mixed polka dots (seen here) but this time I wanted to go for the gusto. I did a classic print mixing combination of stripes and florals. Let me be the first to say that print mixing can be scary especially if you’re not a print lover. However, print mixing can help you adopt a care free attitude. I say this because there is something so freeing about taking styles that don’t necessarily match and making them go together.
I actually stumbled upon this look . I had planned on wearing this blazer with a green dress and after trying the jacket on and throwing it on my bed, it fell next to these simply be floral pants. I leaned my head to the right and stared at the two pieces together and said well what do you know. They go together.
While I like to keep things simple and chic. It’s always refreshing to put together an outfit that is a little different than your normal ensembles.
My tips on print mixing:
-Always stay within the same color scheme and to have a solid neutral color anchor the look. Whether it’s shoes, a top, or a bag, you should have something to balance the prints out.
-Size is important. You want to make sure the print sizes are equal or similar in shape to give a more cohesive look.
