Sports Authority Just Launched A New Workout Line For Plus Size Women

Fresh out the inbox is some exciting news about Sports Authority. They just announced their new plus size line. Sports Authority is the largest sporting goods retailer in the US. The new plus size line has launched under their Aspire and Alpine Design collections. They will be carrying everything from yoga pants to sports bra’s all in sizes 1x-3x.


Executive Vice President, and Chief Merchandising Officer of Sports Authority says, Our plus-size customers have been asking for great fitting active wear and sportswear in extended sizing, and we are happy to accommodate this request by offering trend-right functional options at affordable prices.”

Well, way to go Sports Authority. Thanks for listening to your customers.  According to Sports Authority, “Both apparel lines are designed to fit perfectly, look great and be layered to create complete head-to-toe outfits. With moisture-wicking comfort stretch fabric, each piece ensures the wearer will stay comfortable and confident throughout the day.”


The new lines will have price points between $35-$39. The Alpine design collection will also offer pieces that will take you from the gym to ready to wear. They will carry woven tops, skirts, and dresses all sized from 16W-24W. How great is that!


Right now, this is a good look for Sports Authority. Not only are they offering workout gear in plus but they’re also offering ready to wear pieces which will make going from the gym to lunch an easy yet stylish transition.

    I suspect that the quality of this line of fitness clothing is probably very sub-par. 🙁 I personally like old navy’s plus size workout gear best so far!

      I’ve never bought workout gear from Sports Authority but I would hope since they’re the largest sportswear retailer that the clothes would be of good quality. If I buy some I will defintiely let you know. @ naomiTeeter

    Ohh wow! Great sports authority.This cloth is very quality full so in a word I like it.
